The GitLab continuous deployment script allocates more and more storage in /nix/store until the filesystem is full

Each deployment that makes any changes at all pulls in some more store objects that make up the new version of the system. There is no mechanism in place to delete old store objects that are no longer necessary. Thus, after some number of deployments, available space for /nix/store objects is exhausted and no more deployments can proceed.
